About Us

Serving Our Community Since 1952

"People helping People"

Fort Bragg Community Federal Credit Union has been serving our community since 1952.  A full service, not-for-profit financial institution giving our members an alternative to banks.  We are member owned and operated, so you will always feel at home here.  Profits earned by the credit union are returned directly to our members in the form of higher share rates, lower loan rates and reduced or no fee's for services.

All members of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee are fellow credit union members who serve on a volunteer basis.  The supervisory committee is appointed by the board of directors.  The committee is responsible for the annual audit and has independent authority to conduct audits and reviews to insure the credit union is in compliance with Federal Regulations and Bylaws.

OUR COMMITMENT

People helping people.  We exist to help our members.   Our goal is to serve all of our members well, including those of modest means.   Every member counts.

YOUR CREDIT UNION . . .
                        . . . THEN AND NOW

The Fort Bragg Community Federal Credit Union was chartered on June 10, 1952 as the Fort Bragg Co-op Federal Credit Union.   Membership was organized by the members, patrons and employees of the Fort Bragg Co-operative, Inc. pooling their collective funds to help each other.   At the end of the first year it had 26 members with $4,393.84 in assets.

In May 1974, the name was changed to the Fort Bragg Community Federal Credit Union and the field of membership was changed to include residents who live or work within a 20-mile radius of the credit union, excluding employees of Georgia Pacific Corp. and Louisiana Pacific Corp. as they had their own credit union - Noyo Federal Credit Union. On June 22, 1975, Noyo Federal Credit Union merged with Fort Bragg Community Federal Credit Union.

Today, the credit union proudly serves over 4650 members with assets over $29,000,000.00.  We also have a beautiful spacious office to accommodate our membership and expanded services.

We look forward to having the opportunity to serve you and your family as we have been doing for over 60 years.  Stop by our office and see what your Credit Union can do for you.
